In 2006 I graduated from the Yorkshire Coast College with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.  I also have a City $ Guilds Creative Skills Certificate in watercolour (2003) and a Masters in Education (1993)

My lifelong commitment to art was somewhat interrupted by a career in Nursing & Midwifery. I subsequently became a Nurse Teacher and a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Central Lancashire.  When the time was right, I changed career and trained in fine art in Scarborough.

I have exhibited my work widely in Yorkshire before my move back to Lancashire in 2022. These exhibitions include the Ferens Gallery Hull Open (Artist Award joint winner 2007), 2019, 2013; Crescent Arts (2019); East Coast Open, Scarborough gallery (2017, 2015); Scarborough Hospital (2012-13); the East Coast Artists Exhibition (Sledmere Hall, 2011) among many others events.   

I am still an active member of the Westbourne Group of artists in Scarborough.
